Go with web design standards

i think while designing website browser compatibility matter most. its better to look on analytics stats about visitors browser ration before changing new design.
the thing i hate most is most of templates and styles works fine with all browsers but not with ie6. and there are still dumps using ie6. so some time is really difficult (rather irritating) to code for ie6 separately.
