Backlinks from own forums

Hi there

On one of my sites which has a forum, when i checked the google backlinks it listed some backlinks from some of the forum threads within my site ?

I just wondered why it does this ? is this backlink as good as any other backlink even though its from within the site itself ?

Yes, it could be, actually if you already see that the google had count it as your backlinks then it creates good benefits to your site.
