Making sure HTTPS pages get indexed

I have an https issue that I'm hoping someone can help me resolve. I have a client who just redesigned their site. Unfortunately, all the important content on the site (with the exception of the homepage) happens to be on a seperate https domain. It isn't possible right now for them to change this and make the pages http. Problem is, none of the https pages are getting indexed. Since I can't persuade this client to get rid of the secure product pages and create http pages instead, what can I do to get these pages indexed? I've tried creating an XML sitemap to submit to Google, but all the sitemap builders I've used are unable to pull https pages. Would you suggest manually creating an XML sitemap? Would this even work? Any other suggestions for getting https pages ranked?

* the homepage is http. However, all the important product pages, for which they want to rank, are https
* these product and category pages also happen to be on a different webstore domain [https://webstore.mysite.com]
* none of the https pages are getting indexed

Making sure HTTPS pages get indexed

It really is a bad idea to have pages that don't need to be secure resolving on https. https pages do get indexed, but not nearly as easily or in the same way as http pages. Only the pages where sensitive information is transferred, such as payment pages, should be on https. There is no good trick to having unnecessary https pages indexed, because they quite simply shouldn't be structured like this. When you say that they can't change to http, do you mean that they really can't, or that they won't? If it's a matter of persuasion, the best argument is that they'll never achieve optimal ranking or even good indexing with their current structure.
