safety sign
There are plans to legislate for the use of safety signs at school concert warning about the dangers of possible ear damage. If you have ever heard my 8yr old daughter play the trombone you would probably agree! Seriously do you need to be warned via a safety sign a potential noise hazard exists at a school concert. Is this just political correctness or does it warrant the use of a
safety sign. Appantly to quote “ Some instruments, particularly brass, percussion or when amplified can cause high sound levels when played in a small room. The louder the instrument, the larger the room required. Rooms with poor acoustics may increase the risk of hearing damage in the teacher and the pupil.” I personally thing someone involved in health and safety legislation has too much time on their hands and should be earning their tax payers paid wages on something more beneficial and productive.
