Hi,

One simple question, does a link to an (internal hosted) PDF file leak pagerank ?

An href link to an internal PDF will pass it PageRank, yes. There is nothing detrimental about this, however, and nofollow can no longer be used to counteract this due to Google having changed the way nofollow is treated
