Data Volume Testing

Hi All,

I am conducting functional testing for web based application. I have also
started load testing using JMeter. Along with this, I have to perform Data
Volume Testing as well. Since Data Volume Testing is new for me, I am
struggling to figure out exactly what kind of scenarios do I need to test.
Can you please give me a suggestions on the scenarios for volume testing
which will be executed for Web Based Application?

Data Volume Testing

Basically you have to put lots of data with full test size in each
field in the data tables specially the tables which will be use in your
application frequently.
Put records like 100,000 in that table & then you can retrieve the records
from application on black box then you can also observe the performance of
the application.
For putting data you can use SQL queries or you can use tools like
datafactory & others.

Testing for the web based applications.

What to Test

UI Test
Functional test
Database test
Performance, Load and Stress
Web security test
Configuration and Compatibility test
and other tests.

If u need more explanations I need to know whether it is a client side application or server side applications.
